Tiger Nuts grow in the ground much like Peanuts and the root nodes are packed full of carbohydrates and are high in protein, calcium, iron, thiamine, and phosphorus.

The Tiger Nut is a member of the sedge family and is actually a herb and has a sweet nutty taste slightly reminiscent of almonds.

The Tiger Nut has many names; Chufa, Yellow Nut Grass, Earth Almond, Rush Nut, and the Florida Almond. In Spain it is used to make a delicious drink. 

Perfect as a treat and a fantastic carp bait for fishing.
