Nutribird A19 is a very easy to use, nutritionally complete, hand feeding formula suitable for all baby birds with a high energy requirement including Macaws, Eclectus, Hawk-Headed Parrots and  African Grey Parrots.

It was developed to help young birds through their most critical stages of life; from hatching through feathering until weaning. During this time a chick can double or triple its body weight each week and optimal nutrition is vital.

• Extremely nutritious diet based on grains, high grade proteins, amino acids, vitamins, trace elements and minerals.
• Contains lactobacilli and digestive enzymes which assure the stimulation of the natural gut flora and make the food more digestible.

This hand-rearing food is prepared by adding warm, boiled water. The food/water ratio changes with the age of the baby-bird and must be carefully adapted.  

Use the following guide to prepare the rearing food.  

For the first preparation, it is recommended to weigh out precisely the required amounts into a clean bowl. We advise using boiled or bottled water as tap water may contain harmful bacteria.  

• Hatching – day : 1 part  powder -  6 parts water
• Day 2 – day 3: 1 part  powder -  5 parts water
• Day 3 – day 4: 1 part  powder -  4 parts water
• Day 4 – day 5: 1 part  powder -  3 parts water
• Day 5 – weaning: 1 part  powder - 2 parts water

The mixture should be stirred vigorously and allowed to settle and thicken into a porridge like consistency. Allow porridge to cool down to 39°C. before feeding. Stir once more so that water and food do not separate.

Prepare a fresh mix for each meal.
